About Spill

Art has always been my way of seeing — not just with my eyes, but with my heart. I am a self-taught artist guided by what God built into me, intuition, emotion, and music. Rhythm, color, and light move through my work like waves — carrying stories of love, struggle, and transformation.

My journey has been shaped by a lifetime of creating — from painting in the glow of living through the 80’s punk and reggae rebellion, to collaborating with my family, musicians, activists, and dreamers who believe in art’s power to unite.

I was blessed to work side by side with one of the world’s most celebrated producers and artists, Grammy Winner, the legendary Lee $cratch Perry, The Upsetter £$P. People like Joe Strummer and Paul Simonon of The Clash tried to track him down in Jamaica but they couldn’t find him, the Beastie Boys and even Bob Marley sought Lee’s unique genius to help them get that “Upsetting” sound.

They all finally connected with him and they made lasting magic.

We were blown away and ecstatic that after many months of corresponding, Lee actually flew to the States and came to our home to create art and have a show with me and my family.

We had the joy of spending years collaborating and taking him to his shows in Northern California. Our hearts broke when he passed, we miss him every day.

Years ago, my friend Shepard Fairey commissioned a portrait of a shared hero of ours, Joe Strummer — it was the last time I painted by hand. Since then, torn ligaments, complex regional pain syndrome, and advanced cancer affecting my spine and vision have changed the way I create.

Now any art I can create is in digital form from my bed, with a broken hand, when the pain allows. Each piece is born through endurance and love — a reminder that even when the body is breaking, the creative spirit still finds a way to rise.

These limited-edition prints are my legacy, my message to the world: that art can heal, hope can survive, and kindness is the most beautiful color of all.
With Love, Spill 💕
